2. Booking & Payment
- 2.1. Scope of Hire: A booking secures the hire of the designated pitch for the agreed-upon date and time slot only. The fee includes the use of the playing surface, goalposts, and, where necessary, floodlights. Access to changing rooms and general toilet facilities is also included.
- 2.2. Additional Services: The use of any other service, such as the bar, function rooms, catering, or additional equipment, will come at an extra cost and must be arranged separately with management where applicable.
- 2.3. Payment: All bookings must be paid for in full at the time of reservation unless a separate credit agreement is in place (e.g., for block bookings or league teams).
3. Commercial & Business Use
- 3.1. Definition: A “Commercial Booking” is any booking where the Hirer is running an activity from which they will, or intend to, generate income. This includes, but is not limited to, private coaching, holiday camps, paid-for tournaments, or corporate events.
- 3.2. Declaration & Pricing: Hirers must declare at the time of booking if the pitch will be used for commercial purposes. These bookings are subject to our commercial pricing structure.
- 3.3. Unauthorised Commercial Use: Gôl reserves the right to apply the appropriate commercial rate, or cancel the booking without refund, if a standard booking is found to be for commercial use without prior agreement.
4. Cancellation and Booking Transfer Policy
- 4.1. No Refunds: All bookings are considered final. We do not offer refunds for cancelled bookings.
- 4.2. Transfer Requests: Hirers may request to transfer their booking to an alternative date. All requests must be made in writing via email, providing a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
- 4.3. Discretionary Approval: Granting a booking transfer is not guaranteed and is at the sole discretion of Gôl management, subject to availability and the Hirer’s booking history.
- 4.4. Transfer Conditions: If a transfer is approved, the booking may only be transferred once, and the new date must be within 30 days of the original booking.
- 4.5. Discretionary Refunds: In exceptional circumstances, a refund may be considered at the sole discretion of Gôl management. Should a refund be approved, an administration fee will be deducted.
5. Pitch and Facility Usage Rules
- 5.1. Footwear Policy: Only appropriate footwear is permitted on the pitches. For our 3G surfaces, this means moulded plastic or rubber studs. Metal studs, blades, flat-soled trainers, and everyday shoes are strictly forbidden as they damage the surface and increase the risk of injury. Gôl staff reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone with incorrect footwear.
- 5.2. Punctuality: Bookings run for the allocated time only. Hirers should ensure they vacate the pitch promptly at the end of their session to allow the next booking to start on time. Overrunning may incur an additional charge.
- 5.3. Equipment: Goalposts must not be moved unless by a member of Gôl staff. Hirers must provide their own footballs and bibs unless arranged otherwise.
- 5.4. Prohibited Items: To protect our pitches, chewing gum and glass bottles are strictly prohibited in pitch-side areas. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere in the Facility except for designated outdoor smoking areas. Please see section 6.4 for our policy on alcohol.
- 5.5. Litter: All participants are responsible for placing their litter, including water bottles and tape, in the bins provided. Changing rooms must be left in a clean and tidy state.
6. Responsibility, Damage, and Conduct
- 6.1. Hirer’s Responsibility: The Hirer is responsible for the conduct of all participants associated with their booking. This includes ensuring all participants are aware of and abide by these terms.
- 6.2. Damage to Property: The Hirer shall be liable for the cost of any damage caused by any participant to the pitch surface, goals, fencing, changing rooms, or any other part of the Facility. This includes the cost of repair and any resulting loss of revenue.
- 6.3. Code of Conduct: All participants must behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner. Gôl has a zero-tolerance policy towards aggressive, intimidating, or abusive behaviour, including foul language, directed at staff, referees, or other users. Any individual or group in breach of this code will be asked to leave the Facility immediately without a refund.
- 6.4. Alcohol and Drugs Policy:
- Illegal Drugs: Gôl operates a strict zero-tolerance policy on illegal substances. The possession, sale, or consumption of illegal drugs, including cannabis (weed), anywhere on the Facility premises is strictly forbidden. Any participant found in breach of this policy will be removed immediately without a refund. Gôl reserves the right to issue a ban and to contact the police.
- Alcohol: Only alcohol purchased from our on-site bar may be consumed on the premises. Customers are strictly prohibited from bringing their own alcohol to the Facility. Alcohol may only be consumed in the licensed bar and designated patio areas; consumption is strictly forbidden on the pitches, in pitch-side areas, and in changing rooms. We promote responsible drinking and staff are authorised to refuse service to any person who appears intoxicated. Intoxicated persons will not be permitted to play and may be asked to leave the Facility.
- 6.5. Supervision of Minors: For any booking involving participants under the age of 18, the Hirer is responsible for ensuring adequate supervision by responsible adults and must adhere to all relevant safeguarding practices.
7. Liability and Insurance
- 7.1. Assumption of Risk: Football is a physical sport with inherent risks of injury. Participants play at their own risk. By booking, the Hirer acknowledges these risks on behalf of all their participants.
- 7.2. Liability: Gôl is not liable for any death, personal injury, or loss or damage to property of any participant, except where it arises from our negligence.
- 7.3. Personal Belongings: We accept no responsibility for any personal belongings lost, stolen, or damaged at the Facility. We advise valuables are not brought to the Facility or are kept secure at all times.
- 7.4. First Aid: A qualified first aider is available on site to provide assistance in case of injury. However, their immediate availability is not guaranteed as they may be attending to other incidents. We recommend that organised groups and teams ensure they have their own basic first aid provisions.
8. General Conditions
- 8.1. Right to Refuse: Gôl reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking at any time. In the event of a cancellation by Gôl, a full refund or transfer will be offered.
- 8.2. Amendments: Gôl reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The terms applicable at the time of booking will apply.
- 8.3. Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of Wales and England.
